My passion for education began early when I helped care for my younger sister when I was very young. Then I got to be her kid's nanny for a season. That experience instilled in me a love for guiding and nurturing children. Later, my journey as a mother deepened that passion. My son, who became developmentally delayed after an accident, required me to step into the role of his first teacher. From teaching him how to talk to helping him learn life skills like dressing himself, I realized the transformative power of education. Shortly after homeschooling my son, I transitioned to working as a paraprofessional. I thoroughly enjoyed being in the classroom and building connections with the students, which deepened my love for teaching. As a tutor, my greatest joy comes from seeing my students excel in school, especially after consistent tutoring over the course of a year. I focus on engaging my students and ensuring they truly understand the material. My approach often involves a lot of repetition in reading and math, which I’ve found to be highly effective. Seeing that method work and witnessing my students' growth is a true game-changer for me! After years of hard work and patience, my dream came true—I now homeschool my son, who began his homeschooling journey at 12 years old. These experiences have shaped my perspective and confirmed that education is my calling.
